Biography
Paul Routh is a nationally recognized benefits attorney providing advice and counsel on health plans and other non-retirement benefits, such as group life insurance, disability plans, cafeteria plans, and premium only plans. He has devoted over 30 years to counseling employers on such things as the design and drafting of health and welfare plans, advising employers on the requirements of the Healthcare Reform laws, assisting in ERISA annual filing requirements, and representing plans and plan sponsors in litigation and governmental audits.
Paul has written numerous articles and is a frequent speaker on employee benefit topics. He is the author of Welfare Benefits Guide (West, 1989 to Present). Paul graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in accounting, the University of Toledo College of Law (Order of the Coif), and New York University School of Law (Masters of Taxation, LLM). He is also a certified public accountant. Paul heads up the firm's Employee Benefits Group.
